Dickey’s Barbecue’s Secret Sauce Available at Local Franchises
Restaurant Magazine has reported that Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is now providing its entire line of proprietary rubs, seasonings and other items for home grillers.
Dickey’s released the products, which include their authentic Texas-style seasonings, rubs and hardwood pellets, to home barbecue cooks today. The products are available by ordering online, as well as in local grocery stores such as Wal-Mart and Publix.
In addition to the eight new spices and rubs, Dickey’s added their traditional, original barbecue sauce and eighteen distinctive flavors of wood pellets for their recent expansion of online products.
It’s clear the company is seeking to sell barbecue via multiple channels, and satisfy consumers’ BBQ cravings by appearing everywhere that people are looking to enjoy the grilled meats with savory sauces.
Dickey’s Barbecue Pit Restaurants CEO, Laura Rea Dickey, states,
“The art of great barbecue is essentially all about gathering people together, so whether it is in our restaurant locations or in their own back yards, Dickey’s seeks to be an essential part of communities’ and families’ shared experiences and traditions.”
Since the company also touts retail sales as one of its six revenue streams, it’s clear the new rubs are also going to eventually be available via Dickey’s Barbecue Franchises, throughout the country. However, their “At Home” site only shows the retail items available locally via the grocery stores. Hmm.
It’ll be interesting to watch what other innovations emerge from Dickey’s in the future. I’ve been to a Dickey’s BBQ near my home with my family, and I was quite impressed with the whole experience.
